Zaishen TA, HA and GvG...meta 4v4 and 8v8
Hi,
I am raising this suggestion once again. Currently the Zaishen combat areas such as Zaishen Challenge and Elite Zaishen are pretty noob. the builds are ancient and outdated and i would like to see either or both of these implemented.
1. Elite Zaishen. Rather than the boring old same builds over and over, i would like to see more FoTM builds for these areas. These should include teams of 4 with professions and builds from the current FoTM or at least from the current Meta. It;s no good going to Zaishen or the Elite area and just having to play against 5 then 6 then 7 of the same build type over and over. How can we adequately test a 4v4 scenario against 4 obsidian spike eles that no-one uses. there is no synergy in the build and no monk, no sin, no hammer warrior etc etc.
If you get the idea, you would come up against popular TA builds, random teams with meta builds, HB builds. etc etc
This would be a little hard to code for, but i am sure that it could be made easier by just having a list of teams. ANet could just go to PVX and load the team build templates from there.
FOr the random zaishen, they just pull up a list of professions and that loads random builds. Obviously each build has a set of equipment that should be loaded and it would be simply a matter of the game server loading the appropriate runes and skills.
2. Zaishen GVG and HA.
I would like to see Zaishen 8v8 on GVG and HA maps too please. For people going in with heros and henchies, could there please be the option to select up to 7 heros (but only 3 can be flagged and micro'ed). This would be great so that you can test out team builds against current meta. This would be harder to implement for GvG due to the AI restrictions, but surely if a computer can play chess, then certainly it can play GvG.
Well... maybe not GvG, but i would like to see some form of HA (altho it would be only 8v8) type matches. It could consist of current meta type builds with anythign from bloodspike, Rit Spike, R-Spike, Contagion Pressure, Paraway, IWAY to lichway to balanced. At least people would be able to test out builds and practice in a non-hostile type environment or even play with all heros and hench. Every time the meta shifts, the new builds should be updated. ie. community members or staff would just add the new build templates to the database and let the server do the rest.
These forms of PVP will award faction and perhaps glad points, hero points. etc albeit at a lower rate. perhaps there could be a message that goes out to the world when someone has held Zaishen halls for more than 5 times in a row. Perhaps it would have to be KoTH as hero AI would fail at running relics.
Each time you win and advance in Zaishen HA the level of the other team increase by one level. It could be possible to get even come up against a level 50 at some stage???
Obviously AI will need to function like HM but it will need to be significantly improved beyond monster AI. Ie. No Mobbing, no aggro on one character only. Mobs have whole compass aggro circle similar to Kournan spotters and scatter like in HM or FoW when the aggro breaks... all hell breaks loose.
Remember, these builds shoudl be designed monthly or quarterly and have enough builds so
3. Build your own opposition.
I would like to also be able to build the enemy team in a 4v4 or 8v8 situation. What this would be is that you choose the make up of the opposition team and similar to pressing J and K and loading up skills and equipment for your heros. This way you can make up the team you are playing against and load the builds and runes. This way you can build your opposition and test you build against custom meta builds when you want. Or even practice different tactics agaisnt different teams or just test out how powerful the new build is againt
i would write more.. but i really should get back to work. :P

you don't get experience points, or any other rewards, as this should just be a place for players who wanted practices in regards to GvG/HA or testing their team build.
